SKID SYSTEMS - We build skid mounted steel hardening systems with controlled atmosphere furnaces, quench presses, quenchant systems with flow controls, conveyors, robots, and loaders. These systems harden your parts using presses to control the shape of the finished parts. We also build ovens that can be added to temper the parts after they have been quenched. These ovens can be integrated to accept parts as they exit the quench press or post quench parts washer.

MODULAR SYSTEMS - We build free standing modular multipart systems where the equipment is not skid mounted. The shape and arrangement of these systems are more flexible than the skid systems. Systems are tailored to suit the application and your facility. They can be made to incorporate existing equipment and to tie into conveyors in your manufacturing lines.

CONTROLS - Whether you need to control a full QPS system or just a stand alone robot or furnace, we can provide you with a great electrical control solution for the application. Typically QPS systems use a PC based SCADA operator interface, one or more PLC's, servo motion controller(s), PID process controller(s), and a variety of sensors to measure position, temperature, pressure, flow, level and other process variables.
Note: SCADA is an acronym for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition.

ROBOTS and MATERIAL HANDLING - QPS can address a variety of material handling tasks. We can use off-the-shelf equipment or design and build custom equipment to suit your material handling needs.

QUENCH PRESSES - Of course our specialty is quench presses as our name implies. We make presses with universal dies as well as plug dies for bearings and gears. Also we make presses with single and multiple ram die sets for press quenching and hot forming.

FURNACES - QPS designs and builds furnaces and atmosphere mixing and control equipment. Our rotary hearth furnaces provide for precise positioning of the hearth to facilitate pick and place operation reliability. We make belt or vertical conveyor tempering furnaces. Vertical conveyor temper furnaces have a very small footprint as compared with belt furnaces and can be used where plant floor space is at a premium.
